I have lived in this beautiful valley for nearly twenty years and my husband and I are currently raising three energetic elementary-school-aged children here. I am 100% dedicated to shaping a bright future for them and for our schools.
Drawing upon my experience as a public relations professional and freelance writer, I am eager to restore trust through accessible, open and honest communication. Even when we don’t see eye to eye, I promise to listen and to keep asking the hard questions until I get an answer.
I am thrilled to offer my expertise as a former middle school Language Arts teacher. I loved my six years in Carbondale Middle School, and I know what it looks like to prioritize student success. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by teachers in today’s education landscape, I promise to provide unwavering support to our incredible classroom professionals and staff across the District.
As your representative to the Roaring Fork School Board, I start by listening. Teachers, school staff, parents, community members. All voices matter. All get heard.
In the board room and out of it, my core values guide decisions big and small.

In 2021, voters in the Roaring Fork School District generously approved a measure to increase teacher pay. Unfortunately, within less than two years, soaring rates of inflation and skyrocketing home and rent prices undermined the value of those pay increases, leaving the professionals who teach our children still struggling to afford to live and work in the same community.
I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure our District’s resources are going to support teachers and staff so that we can hire and retain experienced professionals.

Our schools are made up of a beautiful and diverse student body. All students deserve a safe place to learn and grow regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. As your representative on the school board, I will work with all members of the community to advocate for student’s rights, their needs, and their safety while celebrating their unique identities.
